What to expect the day of your session
My goal is to make sure you have an enjoyable experience at your session. I know it can feel awkward and unnatural to have your pictures taken (trust me, I feel weird in front of the camera too, that’s why I prefer to be the one behind the camera!) But I promise you, will have a fun time! I’ve even had male clients tell me their session wasn’t as bad as they thought it would be and if anyone has a husband like mine, you know how much they hate having to get pictures done! I have a lot of posing ideas and prompts to help you feel natural and relaxed so we can get the BEST photos for you and your family. I don't expect you to come to your session and read my mind to know what to do, that's my job as your photographer to help guide you in the right direction to get the perfect shots.
Session summary
If we are doing your session in a place that is unfamiliar to me, I will be there a little early to "scope it out" and find the best places with the perfect lighting to pose you. Please be on time to your session, I know things can pop up unexpectedly and if that happens please text or call me so I can be prepared when to expect you. We will be moving around to different areas for different poses that I will walk you through. I will never ask you to do any poses you are uncomfortable with or feel are unsafe. If you have a specific background or area you want to get some shots in we will definitely make it happen at some point during your session. It may not be in the very beginning, depending on how the lighting is. Sometimes we have to wait until the lighting is just perfect depending on the time of the day and the sun's location. As our session winds down, I will ask if you have any specific shots or poses you would like me to get that I haven't done already. Please try to have them written down or send me your ideas in advance so they don't get forgotten. I know what it's like to have a vision in your head but then completely forget it when you're put on the spot. I want to make sure you get everything out want out of our time together! After the session I will share some sneak peaks of my editing process with you and keep you updated on my progress as your gallery is getting done. For standard sessions it takes about 2 weeks for me to finish and deliver a gallery. If anything unexpected pops up and I think it may take longer than that I will contact you and let you know when I estimate I will have your gallery done. When I am uploading your photos I will let you know to be on the lookout for an email with a link to view your gallery. The email will include a download PIN you will have to enter to be able to download your photos. If you wish to print any of your photos you can choose to download them and print them at any place that does prints or you can order them straight from your online gallery. I partner with an online print lab called MPix who provide excellent quality prints and you can select what size and type of print you want right from your gallery and have them shipped to you. If you choose to print them elsewhere I recommend that you download onto a computer or laptop for the best quality prints.
